Cool Ways to Tie a Scarf

Scarves are versatile; coming in all different colours and patterns. As a kid you probably wrapped one tightly around your neck before you went out in the cold weather. Yet somehow as an adult, most men aren’t sure how to wear one and some aren’t even comfortable with the idea.

We’d like to state for the record that scarves are indeed very manly. Throughout history we’ve seen emperors to aviators and soldiers donning a scarf. Whether it was for status, fashion or warmth, scarves were and still are multipurpose. Below we’ll show you the popular ways to tie a scarf.

The Drape

This is a clean easy way to add some texture and colour to suiting. It can also be an alternative to wearing a tie if the occasion allows it. Without any knots, it can be worn for warmth without the extra bulk under top coats.

The Parisan Knot

This is a very classic way to wear a scarf. When the weather is cold, choose a wool fabrication for extra warmth. In the spring, go for a lightweight cotton or linen and experiment with different patterns to find one you like.

The Reverse Drape Tuck

This way to tying your scarf is a little different but adds more character to an outfit. Its a great alternative to the Parisian knot in terms of warmth and functionality. But with the reverse tuck, you get more of a styled look.
